There have been allot of really good wine in the under $10 price range lately and Glen Ellen always delivers quality and taste in this price point. This wine starts with a terrific nose of black cherries and vanilla spice. It than leads into red fruit jammy flavors, plums and white pepper notes. The finish has layers of raspberries, oak, and vanilla bean, along with the jam like notes from the mouth. This is a terrific wine with grilled beef or with hamburgers off the grill. Also works perfectly with pasta dishes with tomato sauces. You will be hard pressed to find quality like this in a $6 bottle of wine. They also make this in a 1.5 liter which sells for $10.
