2010 Robert Mondavi Private Selection Riesling, California $11
On a hot and humid evening we enjoy a light and delicious summer wine, and this wine fits the bill. Starting with terrific aromas of orange blossoms, peaches, and citrus zest. Once it hits the mouth the flavors explode, a terrific balance of sweet and acidity. Layers of fresh peaches and apricots, melon notes, all of which are balanced by acidity of citrus notes of lemon. This wine defiantly has a sweeter note in each sip, making it a refreshing, and perfect for fruit and grilled foods, in addition to sushi or Asian inspired foods.
