This is a new product from Crown Royal delivering more depth and complexity than the regular Crown, with a slightly higher alcohol content. The aromas were classic Crown Royal with notes of charcoal bourbon, spice and vanilla. These than develop into a rich and smooth tasting experience, with layers of smokiness, creamy vanilla, toffee, and a butterscotch finish. These flavors linger on the tongue terrifically, with a sherry like note interlacing with the smoke and caramel flavors. No burn just sweet flowing softness. A much smoother version of the regular Crown Royal for just a fraction of the cost more. One of the finer Canadian Whiskies I have tasted in some time.
