The Singleton 12 Year Old Single Malt Scotch, Speyside 80 Proof $39 750ml
This single malt has loads of character, aged in Bourbon and Sherry casks that impart and subtle sweetness and vanilla notes. Notes of spring floral, butter and oak start the tasting experience. The flavors are light and fresh, with honied nuttiness and sweet creme smoothness. All of the flavors are soft and flowing, there is an herbal and grassy note that is balanced by the vanilla notes, all of these flavors linger for a long time. This is a terrific Speyside example for a terrific price. A great gift for any Scotch lover, or as a treat for yourself.
