2008 Kendall-Jackson Summation, California

This is a new wine for Kendall-Jackson, a white blend with predominatly Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Semillion, Viognier and a host of other white frapes. It taste like a great white meritage you find much more expensive at other wineries. Aromas of honeysuckle, yellow peaches start the taste buds kicking into high gear anticipating the first sip. When the wine hits the mouth the flavors explode melon, creamy lemon, apples and pears with a subtle floral sweetness linger for the longest time. The acidity is perfectly balanced with the fruit making this a terrific food wine. Baked chicked or grilled monk fish would work beautifully with this wine.
