This wines is a great summer red blend, aromas of vanilla and blackberries jump out of the glass and linger nicely, carrying over to the first flavors that hit the tongue. Additional layers of jam like plum flavors, fresh raspberries and light notes of cocoa. The finish has quite a bit of lift, letting the fresh red fruit notes comeback through and new layers of bing cherries and white pepper spice. There is some oak and cedar notes but not overpowering, with a more earthiness leather like flavor in each sip. Great for backyard grilling with steaks or even burgers, but don't let the casualness fool you it would also pair perfectly with an elegant meal also.
