STAGS’ LEAP WINERY NAMES CHRISTOPHE PAUBERT WINEMAKER AND GENERAL MANAGER
NAPA, CA., July 6, 2009 â€" Stags’ Leap Winery is pleased to announce
the appointment of Christophe Paubert to the position of winemaker and
general manager of the historic estate located in the Stags Leap
District of Napa Valley. Paubert brings an impressive breadth of
experience to the job, and was most recently head winemaker at Canoe
Ridge Vineyard inWashington State.
A native of Bordeaux, Paubert was introduced to winemaking by his
grandfather who was a cellar master. Paubert graduated from the
Institut d’ Å'nolugue in 1983 and since then his career has spanned the
industry from sales to winemaking. His impressive winemaking
background includes winemaking positions at Chateau d'Yquem and Gruaud-
Larose as well as projects in Chile, Spain and New Zealand.
