Barefoot Chardonnay non vintage, California $8

A great chardonnay for the price, it starts with a great nose full of deep ripe fruit scents. The flavor is packed with tropical fruit sensations with the emphasis on creamy soft pineapple and subtle oak notes. It is extremely well balanced with acidity to round out the fruit flavors and add a dimension of light citrus zest notes. The finish is truly terrific, reintroducing all the flavors and remaining on the tongue for just the right amount of full enjoyment. You can not beat this bottle of wine for under $10.

We went old school with this wine and had chicken potpie. With the weather a little colder we wanted something to warm up with and grabbed the bottle of chardonnay to enjoy. The balanced flavors of the wine will work with almost any menu pairing from seafood to pork. The creaminess of the pie and zip of the vegetables made it a perfect winner for the wine.

This is a surprisingly good wine for the money. I see some comments about how terrible it is and it's obviously from people who don't like wine in the first place. I've spent a lot more and gotten a lot less.
